Two Free Money Tool Updates and Where I've Been

I wanted to send a big thank you for being a subscriber to the Money Monk channel and newsletter.

It has been a few months since I posted, so I thought I’d break the ice with some updates, a behind-the-scenes look at where I've been, and most importantly some free money tool updates for you.

Tool Updates

1. The T-Bill Planner (v2.0) Thanks to your feedback on the T-Bill planner, I’ve updated the Dashboard tab to be more clear and accurate and the script now pulls in both daily T-Bill rates and recent auction results automatically.

2. Annual Reflections & Money Planning Ritual For years, I have used a specific set of questions to review my financial life. I realized my original video on this didn't reach many of you, so I’ve packaged these questions into a doc for you to use.

Content Updates

Writing a book: I wrote a 70,000-word draft covering 13 money mindsets that were critical in my own journey. However, upon reviewing it, I realized I needed more implementation strategies. I'm currently refining the draft to include practical budgeting and investing steps (the "how-to") alongside the mindsets (the "why"). I may share an advanced draft of this on my website soon.

YouTube Videos: I’m planning to shoot new content the week of January 26. Thanks to everyone who reached out wondering where I’d been! I am always looking for inspiration: If you have a specific money question or topic you want me to cover, please hit reply and let me know.

Business Updates

A few of you have asked if I offer coaching services. While I am still finalizing the structure of the "Money Monk" business, I am moving toward a mix of financial coaching and planning. I finished the You Need a Budget (YNAB) Certified Coach program and am looking at taking the Series 65 to provide investing advice. For fun I’ve also started a tax advisory certification and a bookkeeping certification through Quickbooks.

Life Updates

• Moving: I’ll share details in an upcoming video, but I may be doing a big move soon! I’ve been busy prepping a house for sale.
• Health: I had a minor surgery recently (all is well!), but it kept me off-camera for a bit while I recovered.
• Sad News: My best pal Ruby (my English Bulldog) passed away unexpectedly in December. It's been a difficult time losing her, but a reminder about what is most important in life.
